There’s a blizzard outside and Old Trail School students couldn’t be happier – this means they get to go sledding at recess! One of the most exciting parts about Old Trail School in the winter is the opportunity to hit the big hill behind the school on a sled during recess.
Classes are bundled up in their snowpants, hats, mittens and scarves and head outside to enjoy the winter in the beautiful Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Students get to enjoy the winter wonderland as they line up with their friends to wait their turn on the hill.
Recently, the fifth graders paired up with their kindergarten buddies for a sledding session. The older students made sure their younger riders were safe and sound as they hit the hill. The Old Trail School Parents’ Association has generously allocated funds to purchase a set of 20 roll-up sleds that fit two children. Let it snow!
