An annual Old Trail School tradition took place recently as the fifth grade students helped their kindergarten buddies design and build gingerbread houses. The fifth graders manage the project with their buddies by bringing in the "construction" materials. These included: graham crackers, marshmallows, licorice, gum drops, candy canes and more.
This is a wonderful bonding experience for the buddies and each student gets to take home his or her gingerbread house just in time for winter break. Not too much snacking on the "building" materials was observed and a great time was had by all of the students. Special thanks to the parents who donated the supplies.
