Old Trail School is an independent, coeducational day school for students aged two through grade eight. Located within Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Bath, Ohio, the School offers a personal, nurturing and academically challenging liberal arts program to students and families in a five-county region that emphasizes excellence in academics, athletics and the arts.
Old Trail School is seeking qualified substitute teachers for the 2014-15 school year. Substitute teachers must hold a college degree (Master's Degree preferred), have experience working with children in an educational setting, and have a flexible schedule. Substitutes are needed on a near daily basis, and priority is given to those able to work with students across grade levels (PS-8) and disciplines. Responsibilites: Clean designated sections of the School as assigned by the Custodial Supervisor; work cooperatively in team situations; use computer to check communication/requests from staff or faculty; respond to work requests in a timely manner; communicate verbally with staff and teachers to assess their needs; assess day-to-day cleaning needs of the assigned section and address issues when necessary; be proactive and decisive without direct supervision; ensure any set-ups for school functions are properly configured and arranged in accordance with requests.
Hours: 3 - 11 p.m. during the school year (August - June) with day shifts during the summer.
