Middle School Latin
Old Trail is seeking a Latin or Latin/Spanish teacher for the 2015-2016 school year. The successful candidate will work primarily with students in our Middle School. Responsibilities will include teaching five sections of Latin, advising approximately eight students and sitting on various faculty committees. Other duties may include coaching a sport, sponsoring a student organization, teaching an elective, proctoring study halls, or supervising break and recess duties.
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree with a major or minor in Latin, Classics or any other Latin-centric course of study. Applicants should have 1-2 years of teaching experience, either in the classroom or in non-traditional educational settings (camps, outdoor centers, etc.) An ideal candidate will have knowledge of Spanish, but it is not required. Perhaps most importantly, applicants should have a love of working with early adolescents, in a collaborative and upbeat environment.

After School Music Teachers
Seeking teachers for after school private music lesson (flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, low brass, percussion, viola, cello, string bass and voice.) Bachelor’s degree in music education or music performance experience required. Flexible schedules. Compensation is $20 per half hour lesson. Responsibilites: Clean designated sections of the School as assigned by the Custodial Supervisor; work cooperatively in team situations; use computer to check communication/requests from staff or faculty; respond to work requests in a timely manner; communicate verbally with staff and teachers to assess their needs; assess day-to-day cleaning needs of the assigned section and address issues when necessary; be proactive and decisive without direct supervision; ensure any set-ups for school functions are properly configured and arranged in accordance with requests.
Hours: 3 - 11 p.m. during the school year (August - June) with day shifts during the summer.
