Math Teacher and Specialist
Seeking a full-time MathTeacher and Specialist for the 2016-17 school year. The successful candidate will work primarily with students in our Middle and Intermediate Schools. Responsibilities will include teaching one or two sections of middle school Math, providing consistent math enrichment and intervention for specific students in Grades 3-8, advising approximately eight middle school students, supervising study halls, and sitting on various faculty committees. Other duties may include coaching a sport, sponsoring a student organization, teaching an elective, or supervising break and recess duties.

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree with a major in Mathematics or Education. Applicants should have 1-2 years of teaching experience, either in the classroom or in non-traditional educational settings (camps, outdoor centers, etc.) Candidates should be able to demonstrate current knowledge of best practices for math education, both within a classroom and in alternative enrichment/support sessions. Experience or background knowledge relating to gifted education and/or learning disabilities intervention is not required, but is desirable. Perhaps most importantly, applicants should love working with children in a collaborative and upbeat environment.

Spanish Teacher
Old Trail School seeks an experienced Spanish teacher to teach children in Grades 3-8 for the 2016-17 school year.  This individual will also serve as World Languages Department Chair.
This position requires a minimum of three years teaching experience at the K-8 level. A master's degree and previous department chair experience preferred.
