The Library is a place where students can read, study, or collaborate on projects. With 14,000+ volumes, the Meyo Library provides books, eBooks, eReaders and audio books which support the curriculum and satisfy students’ educational needs and personal interests. We want students to develop habits of inquiry, so we provide intellectual and physical access to information and collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate information and media literacy skills with curriculum content. These skills include location, evaluation, use and communication of information and ideas.

From school and home, students can search our online library catalog along with subscription websites. Students also learn to use INFOhio which gives them the power to tap into research tools that are age-appropriate. The information they retrieve will be safe, useful and accurate and includes: eBooks, encyclopedias, magazine and newspaper articles, poems, plays, science experiments, biographies, websites, images, streaming videos.

In the Early Childhood Program, the library supports pre-literacy. Oral language, the alphabet, and print knowledge and concepts are important in the beginning phases of literacy. During library story times, the children experience this curriculum through interaction with our storyteller through finger plays, poetry, puppet shows, songs and read-aloud stories twice a week.
