Alex ’25, an eighth-grade student at Old Trail School, has been demonstrating Old Trail's core value of Service through dedicated volunteer work at the Cleveland Kids’ Book Bank.
Located in Midtown Cleveland, the nonprofit’s mission is to foster literacy and inspire a love of reading by providing free books to children across Greater Cleveland. Alex contributes by sorting and packing books that will soon find homes in the hands of local children, ensuring that young readers have access to a variety of books.
In addition to onsite volunteering, Alex is planning a book drive in the coming months to collect even more books for the Kids’ Book Bank. This effort reflects Old Trail’s commitment to Service, emphasizing the importance of giving back and making a difference in the community. Alex’s involvement is an inspiring example of how students are living out Old Trail’s values and making an impact beyond the classroom.
