In a display of community spirit and compassion, Old Trail School recently collected 1,180 pairs of socks for Haven of Rest, making this year's Trail to Service Soctober drive a success.
Thanks to the generosity of our families, faculty and staff, thousands of socks were gathered, sorted and delivered to those in need across the Akron area.
Members of our student-led service organization took charge, personally delivering the donations to Haven of Rest, where these essential items will go directly toward helping people in our community experiencing homelessness and hardship. This annual initiative is a testament to Old Trail’s ongoing commitment to service learning, reinforcing our mission to cultivate empathetic, responsible citizens who advocate for the well-being of others.
Thank you to everyone who supported this effort. Your contributions have made a meaningful impact, embodying Old Trail’s core values and bringing warmth to those who need it most.
