Grade 2 Student Uses Artwork to Inspire, Help Others

Old Trail second grader Sachin '29 has been gaining attention as both an aspiring artist and young entrepreneur.

Last summer, Sachin applied to be an exhibitor at Kids Maker Fest at the Akron Art Museum under his newly formed company, "Drawings by Sachin." Earlier this month, he joined 40 other local youth artists at the event and sold more than 20 of his original drawings and decided to use half of his proceeds to purchase art supplies needed for children on the Patient Wish List at Akron Children's Hospital.

Sachin is eager to work with the Young Entrepreneur Institute at University School (a fellow CCIS member institution) to learn more about how he can grow his business, share his love of art with others, and give back to the community. We applaud Sachin for using his gifts to inspire and lift up others and will follow along closely as he continues to grow his business!
