Halloween Parade (JK-Grade 8): October 28

The Halloween Parade and Spooktackular Community Assembly will be held for students in Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8 on Friday, October 28, from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Students may wear Halloween costumes to school that day. Parents and guardians are invited to watch the parade (see the graphic below for more details), then stay for the special assembly.

Here's what else you should know about our Halloween Celebration:

  • The Halloween Parade will begin at approximately 8:45 a.m. As a safety measure, the main driveway will be closed at that time. It will reopen at 9:15 a.m.
  • Students in Junior Kindergarten to Grade 5 will march in the parade. Middle School students are welcome to wear costumes that day and cheer on their younger peers. Following the parade, the Spooktacular Community Assembly will be held in Bridgwater Gym where students will have the opportunity to cross the stage in costume.
  • Parents and guardians who would like to attend the assembly should enter Firestone Hall (main entrance) and proceed down the stairs to Bridgwater Gym. For security purposes, guess must wear their OTS name badges to avoid having to sign in at the front desk. If you can't find your name badge, please contact the Admission office.
  • The Halloween program will conclude after the assembly. Parents should wave goodbye following the assembly and then exit the building, unless they have signed up to volunteer for classroom celebrations through their Parent Coodinator.
  • The parade will be held rain or shine, so please send your child with an umbrella if it looks like it may rain.
  • Students should come to school in their costumes with a free-dress outfit underneath to change into. Please also have your child bring a reusable bag to store their costume after their party.

Please note that the Preschool Halloween Parade (for Preschool 1 and Preschool 2 students) will be held on Wednesday, October 26. If you have additional questions, please contact your child's division director.
