Happy 100, Old Trail School!

Old Trail School's Centennial Celebration, held last Friday evening on the campus grounds. was an amazing gathering of people, an affirmation of the strength of the OTS community, and a powerful celebration of the remarkable place that has shaped the lives of so many.

With more than 200 in attendance for the outdoor commemoration – including alumni, current and former parents, faculty, administrators and staff, and friends and supporters of Old trail – guests were treated to an evening that featured live music, delicious food and cocktails, tours of campus, memorabilia and a community reconnected by its love of Old Trail.

Featured guest speakers included a welcome from Amy Bowers and Michelle Schaeffer, members of the Centennial Planning Committee, a beautiful rendition of the Old Trail School Alma Mater by recent graduate Alex Newman '21, and remarks by Board President Tom Eaton III '92, Chip '75 and Laura Preston P'05, '08, '14, and Head of School Sarah Johnston. David Hassler P'21, '22, director of the Wick Poetry Center at Kent State, concluded the program with an inspired reading of the Old Trail Centennial community poem: Raise Our Voices."

Many thanks to all who were able to join us for this milestone moment and cheers to OTS as we launch into the next century!
