Eugene Rumer to Speak at OTS

Old Trail School is pleased to host Eugene Rumer for 'Hear, Here' on Thursday, April 18. Dr. Rumer is a senior fellow and the director of the Russia and Eurasia program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

While addressing the central question, What does the Russia’s relationship with the West look like in the near future and long-term?, Dr. Rumer will speak specifically about Russia’s wartime foreign policy; Russia’s evolving relationship with China, India and Iran; and how the war in Ukraine is a turning point for Russia, Europe and the West.

The evening will begin with complimentary heavy hors d’oeuvres and cocktails served in the Meyo Library at 6:00 p.m. An hour-long, moderated discussion with Dr. Rumer and Old Trail's Associate Head of School Joe Vogel will commence at 6:30 p.m. in the Library Lecture Room. Registration is free but space will be limited.

Through support from the OTS George T. Parry Speaker Fund, 'Hear, Here' is an important part of Old Trail’s global initiatives, featuring expert speakers who seek to challenge and broaden our perspectives on contemporary issues, both globally and domestically, through intimate, moderated conversations.
