Back-to-Back Champs: Boys Basketball Claims ISL Title

Old Trail School’s Boys Basketball team capped off an undefeated season in thrilling fashion this winter, earning its second consecutive Independent School League championship and cementing one of the most impressive runs in recent school history.

The title was the finishing touch on a remarkable three-year run in which the Buffaloes suffered just one loss, a setback in the tournament final two seasons ago—a testament to the team’s consistency, discipline and drive.

Competing as the host team for the league tournament, the Buffaloes rose to the occasion from the opening tip. They began postseason play with a decisive victory over Ruffing Montessori, earning the opportunity to defend their ISL title. With momentum firmly on their side, the team carried its energy into the championship game against Gilmour Academy, where they delivered a commanding performance and cruised to a 14-point win to secure back-to-back titles.

Throughout the tournament—and all season long—the Buffaloes showcased exceptional teamwork, focus and determination. Their unselfish play and relentless effort on both ends of the court reflected the strong culture of collaboration and perseverance that defines Old Trail athletics.

We are incredibly proud of our student-athletes and coaching staff for the way they have represented Old Trail School. Their accomplishments speak not only to their talent, but also to their commitment to one another and to the Buffalo community.

Congratulations to our champions on an unforgettable season. We look forward to watching their continued athletic success—at Old Trail and beyond.
