OTS Siblings Featured On Fox 8 for Heartfelt Community Impact

Old Trail School students Hudson ’28 and Grayson ’30 are making a meaningful difference in the lives of others—and gaining recognition across Northeast Ohio for their inspiring work.

The brothers were recently featured as special guests on Fox 8’s New Day Cleveland, where they shared the story behind their nonprofit organization, Kites for Kids Foundation. The segment highlighted both their mission and the heartfelt personal experience that inspired it. You can watch their interview here

Kites for Kids Foundation supports children who have lost a parent by sending kites paired with messages of encouragement on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day—moments that can be especially difficult for grieving families. The organization’s goal is simple yet powerful: to remind children that they are not alone and that they are cared for, even during life’s most challenging times.

The idea grew out of Hudson and Grayson’s own experience with loss at a young age. After losing their father, the brothers began honoring him each year by releasing messages into the sky—a tradition that brought them comfort and connection. Over time, they realized this small act could help other children experiencing similar grief and began expanding the effort into what is now Kites for Kids Foundation.

Their recent appearance on New Day Cleveland brought wider attention to their mission, encouraging viewers across the region to get involved—whether by donating, volunteering or helping spread the word.

Old Trail School is proud to celebrate Hudson and Grayson for their inspiring message of hope and connection. Their efforts reflect the empathy, leadership and compassion that define the Old Trail experience. To learn more about their story, watch the video above—and consider supporting their work to bring comfort and care to children who need it most.
