Flexible Tuition Program

Teacher instruction children during swim lessons

At Old Trail, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to experience the transformative power of an exceptional education—one that ignites curiosity, builds confidence and nurtures a lifelong love of learning.

We never want cost to stand in the way of a child’s potential. That’s why we partner with families to make an Old Trail education as accessible as possible. As one of the only schools in the region to offer a Flexible Tuition program for students in Jr. kindergarten through Grade 8, we take a personalized approach—determining what each family can reasonably afford rather than simply calculating financial aid.

Today, more than one-third of our students benefit from need-based flexible tuition, with Old Trail awarding $1.7 million annually in grants and scholarships. We also offer convenient payment plans through FACTS Management, including a monthly option and a three-installment plan.

How do I apply?

Important Deadlines

The online submission for need-based assistance opens on November 1, with a December 15 deadline for returning student applications. The deadline for new students is February 1, or at the same time as the admission application for late applicants.

To ensure full consideration for aid, we encourage current families to submit the Flexible Tuition application between November 1 and December 15 (prior to the academic year of enrollment). For new families, the application should be submitted by the admissions application deadline. Applications open on November 1. If you're a prospective parent, we invite you to contact the Admission Office first to express your interest in Old Trail School and our Flexible Tuition Program.

After submitting your Clarity application, our Flexible Tuition Committee will review both the application and the assessment of your family's need. The committee then determines eligibility for a tuition reduction. Any approved tuition adjustment will be documented in your child’s Enrollment Contract. Please note that the flexible tuition process is confidential and does not influence admission decisions. However, it must be completed in tandem with the admission process, and flexible tuition awards are only finalized once a student has been accepted. Our goal is to have tuition decisions ready by the time enrollment contracts are issued in February. You’ll receive your tuition rate along with your child’s admission decision.
