Flexible Tuition Program
We never want cost to prohibit a child from receiving the value of an Old Trail education.
That’s why we work with families to make their tuition payments as affordable as possible. Old Trail is one of the few schools in the area to offer a flexible tuition program for children in kindergarten through Grade 8.
This innovative program identifies what families can reasonably afford to pay for tuition rather than determining how much financial assistance can be given. More than one-third of our students benefit from need-based flexible tuition, totaling $1.7 million in grants and scholarships.
Old Trail also offers monthly payment plans through FACTS Management or three-payment plans with installments due on July 15, September 15 and January 15. Please contact Director of Enrollment Management Susan Newman with any questions you may have.

Flexible Tuition Application Process
At Old Trail, we are committed to making education accessible to as many families as possible through our Flexible Tuition Program. To apply for financial assistance, families need to complete a Financial Aid for Student Tuition (FAST) application. This application is reviewed by a trusted third-party service to help determine your family's financial need.
To ensure full consideration for aid, we encourage current families to submit the FAST application between November 1 and December 15 (prior to the academic year of enrollment). For new families, the FAST application should be submitted by the admissions application deadline. Applications open on November 1. If you're a prospective parent, we invite you to contact the Admission Office first to express your interest in Old Trail School and our Flexible Tuition Program.
What happens next?
After submitting your FAST application, our Flexible Tuition Committee will review both the application and the assessment of your family's need. The committee then determines eligibility for a tuition reduction. Any approved tuition adjustment will be documented in your child’s Enrollment Contract. Please note that the flexible tuition process is confidential and does not influence admission decisions. However, it must be completed in tandem with the admission process, and flexible tuition awards are only finalized once a student has been accepted. Our goal is to have tuition decisions ready by the time enrollment contracts are issued in February. You’ll receive your tuition rate along with your child’s admission decision.
Need help navigating the FAST application system?
We are here to make this process as stress-free as possible so that you can focus on what matters most—your child’s educational journey at Old Trail School. Please visit this page for a step-by-step guide on how to submit your FAST application. You can also contact the Admission Office at any time with specific questions.
