Summer Camp

Old Trail School Summer Camp offers an exciting array of specialized summer camps for every interest. Each week, our camps provide children with opportunities to explore, discover, play, and learn.
 
Each camp program is one-week long and has a special focus or theme that allows a customizable experience for each camper. We offer morning, afternoon and all-day options.

Many combine a morning camp and a different afternoon camp to fill a day with variety.  Transportation and before and after camp care are all available for the convenience of our families. Old Trail School Summer Camp is flexible to meet the needs of busy families and stimulating to meet the needs of curious children ready to delve into their passions. Campers choose from 150+ offerings each summer. We have something for everyone. Safety, Fun, Learning: You can have it all at Old Trail School.

  • WHAT ARE THE CAMP HOURS OF OPERATION?

    The camp door (Preston Lobby) opens at 7:45 a.m. daily to accommodate those campers attending before camp care. Campers attending a morning or all day camp, but do not wish to attend before care, may be dropped off at the Preston Lobby entrance from 8:45 a.m. A camp employee will be on the sidewalk at this time. Campers attending an afternoon class (12:15 to 3:00 p.m.) may enter the same door from 12:05 p.m. The Preston Lobby door closes after the 3:00 p.m. dismissal. Parents picking campers up from Extended Camp care can do so by entering the main Firestone Lobby door (white pillars) until 5:45 p.m.
  • Where do I take my camper for Before Camp Care?

    Campers can enter through the Preston Lobby  (last entrance on the right after you enter the school parking lot; please look for signs).  Instructors will be available and ready for early drop off at 7:45 a.m. A Camp helper will be located in the lobby to check-in campers and direct them to the Harrington McLaughlin Athletic Center.  Campers will be picked up from the gym and taken to their appropriate classes at 8:55 a.m.  
  • Where do I drop my camper off?

    As you enter the main driveway you will see a number of S'Camp signs directing you to the Preston Lobby entrance. In the lobby, each class will have a directional sign and S'Camp staff will be available to help direct you and/or your camper to class.   IF YOU HAVE NOT REGISTERED or have additional questions, please stop in at the S'CAMP office located to the right of the entrance in the Library Lecture Room, otherwise you may report directly to the camp for which you have registered.

    Campers will be escorted outside the Preston Lobby for dismissal at either 11:45 a.m. or 3 p.m.  Campers are only released with an authorized signature by the designated pick-up person. Dismissal pick-up maps will be provided prior to each week.
  • What are the transportation details?

    Each bus departs at 8:20 a.m. from the locations shown below. They return at approximately 3:25 p.m.  You must PREREGISTER to ride the bus.

    Hudson Redeemer Church, 190 W. Streetsboro Rd. 
    Brecksville - Saint Basil the Great-Catholic Church, 8700 Brecksville Rd.
    Medina -  Grace Church, Medina East Campus, 2325 Medina Rd.

    Note: There is no mid-day run or transportation to or from before/after camp care. Minimum of 4 riders necessary for a route to run.
  • What if my child has allergies or takes medication?

  • Does my camper need to bring a lunch?

    This year we WILL be offering lunch which can be pre-purchased for the week, or on a day to day basis.
  • How does my child go from lunch to a p.m. class?

    If your camper is buying or packing lunch he/she will eat in the Dining Room from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.  At the end of lunch, afternoon sessions will be announced and campers will be directed to their particular programs.
  • How do I pick my camper up from After Camp Care?

    S'CAMPers registered for the After Camp option will be taken to the Harrington McLaughlin Athletic Center at 3 p.m. and parents can pick them up from this location through 5:45 p.m. After 3:15 p.m. parents should enter the school by going to the main Firestone Hall entrance (main  reception through white pillars opposite parking circle) where they will be directed to the Harrington McLaughlin Athletic Center.
  • What is your cancellation policy?

    A full refund, minus a $50 cancellation fee per class, will be given if you cancel a class for any reason more than two weeks prior to the class start date. Please understand that we have made financial commitments to faculty and staff, in addition to purchasing supplies. After that date, no refunds will be given unless a program is cancelled. Exceptions will be considered for medical circumstances (letter from a licensed physician is required).
     
    S’Camp reserves the right to change or cancel a course/camp or program. All efforts will be made to assign students affected to another available camp. If placement is not possible, S’Camp will offer a full refund or credit for another camp/course. Camper schedule changes will incur a $10 per class change fee.
