Every OTS parent is a member of the Old Trail School Parents’ Association (OTSPA).

The mission of OTSPA is to bring families together to build a strong OTS community and align resources with the vision and direction of the School with an emphasis on enhancing the dynamic educational experiences of our children.

On behalf of the Old Trail Parents’ Association, I welcome you to our Old Trail School community.  We believe that parent involvement is an integral part of the school community and that a strong and supportive partnership between parents and educators enriches the lives of all our children. We invite you to get involved in the life of our diverse community so together we may support the OTS mission to create a dynamic environment of academic excellence, service learning, and global sustainability.

Jen Caldwell
2019-20 Old Trail School Parents' Association President

    • Assisting in our library or on our farm
    • Caring for our gardens with our OTS Garden Club
    • Supporting our staff appreciation efforts throughout the year

If you are interested in volunteering, please email the Parents’ Association at otspa@oldtrail.org.
  • Fundraising

The OTSPA is involved in several strategic fundraising programs each year to support our School and students. Thanks to these efforts, the School has been the recipient of thousands of dollars in recent years, which have been used to assist in the following campus projects:
    • Marnie Carabell Library Courtyard including all new hardscape and plants many of which will be from books our students read in the library.
    • Library renovation and update featuring nature-themed furniture connecting the library space to the outside world.
    • New playground equipment like our popular gaga pit that our intermediate students enjoy.
    • Water bottle filling stations throughout the school.
    • Updated classroom furniture including tables and flexible seating for a developmentally-appropriate learning environment.
Parents are encouraged to support these simple fundraising programs that don’t require any out-of-pocket contributions. These include shopping (local and online) at Amazon, Giant Eagle, Heinen’s, Label Daddy, and iGive.
