Laura Shaklee, President

I am serving as the OTSPA President for the 2021-2022 school year. I have two girls, Brooke (grade 7) and Kendall (grade 4). My family has been at OTS for five years total. We happily returned for the 2019-2020 school year after two years out of state at another ISAC School. I have fond memories of special events like the ECP tea party and Project Ocean in 2nd grade at Old Trail. Feel free to ask me about ways to get involved with the PA and more about my perspective on OTS after a few years away.

Mary Ball, President-Elect

This year I am serving as the President Elect. My family started at OTS in 2016 and my daughter Tatum will be in first grade this year. I have many special memories of OTS but a few stand outs are the outstanding ECP teachers who provided my daughter a wonderful start to her school experience. Ask me anything about the Buffalo Buddy program, DEI initiatives within the PA, OTS summer camp, and Young 5s.

Erin Landers, Past President

This year I will be supporting the board as OTSPA’s Past President. I have one son, Charlie, who will be in 7th grade this year. We started at OTS in the 2 year old toddler program in 2011 and are now beginning our 11th school year at OTS. One of my favorite OTS events is Spring Fling, it’s a wonderful day with all of the families together! You can ask me about transitions to Intermediate School and Middle School, Middle School sports, volunteering or how to get involved with the PA!

Meghan Scott, Communications

This will be my first year on the PA Board as the Communications Liaison. Our son Theodore will be in first grade this year and Nathaniel will be starting at OTS in the 2-year-old program. We fell in love with the OTS because of its focus on play-based learning, the incredible teachers and amazing staff who truly care about our children and family. This will be our third year at Old Trail. Please let me know if you have questions about the ECP program, parent coordinators, or the PA Board.

Catherine Tanner, Treasurer

I’m thrilled to serve as PA Treasurer. I have two kids, Sydney (2nd Grade) and Greyson (Kindergarten). This will be our 6th year at OTS and (next to Hogwarts) think that it’s the most magical school that you’ll ever find! My husband Geoff and I have also recently founded a non-profit initiative, called The Opening Track Project, in partnership with The Boys and Girls Club of North East Ohio to provide music and arts education to under-served children in our community.

Aisha Parnell, Parent Coordinator Liason

I am an Ohio native and a die-hard Buckeye fan. My husband Charles and I have two Children; CJ, 9 and Riley, 7. This will be our fifth year at Old Trail, and what we love most is the excitement that our children have about their education and the unforgettable experiences that they have the opportunity to enjoy. I am deeply committed to giving back to populations that are underserved and overlooked. I am currently the Director of Nursing at the Cuyahoga County Jail in Cleveland, where it continues to be my mission to help reduce recidivism within our communities.

George Ilodi, Community Engagement Liason

This will be my first year serving as the OTSPA Community Engagement Liaison. Father to Dominic (grade 4) and John (grade 1). This will be our fourth year at Old Trail School. My favorite memory, so far, at Old Trail is the Heritage Potluck. I love food and learning about the various meals from different cultures.

Amanda Pry, New Parent Liason

I am serving as the OTSPA New Parent Liaison this year.  I have two children at Old Trail, Eliza (ECP) and Elliott (grade 1). This will be my family's fourth year at OTS and one of my favorite things about Old Trail is the emphasis on learning and playing outdoors.  Ask me about the Buffalo Buddy Program, ECP and the Primary School.

Marina Gordon, Staff Appreciation

This year I am serving as the co-lead of the PA's Staff Appreciation Committee. My daughter Mia is in 2nd grade this year. My family has been a part of the OTS community for four years and my favorite part about OTS is Mia waking up each morning really excited to go to school. Feel free to ask me anything about Girl Scouts.

Nathan Matuszewki, Staff Appreciation

I am serving as the co-lead of the PA’s Staff Appreciation Committee Lead. This year will be my family’s third year at Old Trail and my children are Addyson (kindergarten) and Anderson (ECP 2 day). One of my favorite things about Old Trail are the exceptional faculty and staff that have made learning exciting. Ask me more about ways you can help the PA support our school staff.

Abby Alexander, Volunteer Coordinator

This will be my second year serving as the PA’s Volunteer Coordinator. This will be my family’s sixth year at OTS and our children are Julia (grade 3), Anthony (grade 1), and Bridget (age 3).  I love any opportunity that brings me into the school to see my children during the day.  I also enjoy watching them light up when they recognize teachers and friends in the halls.  Ask me about volunteer opportunities and what differentiates our school from others.

Jessica Czekalinski, Fundraising Alternative Revenue

I will serve as co-lead of the PA's Alternative Revenue Committee this year. I am the mother to Grady (kindergarten) and Maren (ECP 2 day). This will be my family's fourth year at OTS. One of my favorite OTS experiences was seeing the sense of accomplishment the children had when they presented the ECP 5-day Plays Project. Ask me about the ECP program and my favorite local family hikes!

Darla Booth, Fundraising Alternative Revenue

This year I am co-leading the PA's Alternative Revenue Committee. My son, Xander Booth, is entering third grade this year and this will be my family's fifth year at Old Trail School. One of my family's greatest memories is the movie premiere in ECP. Feel free to ask me about the PA's fundraising opportunities or Primary school.
