Trail to Table

Ten Old Trail families will host eight simultaneous dinners at homes throughout the Greater Akron area on Saturday, May 14. Each dinner has a specific theme and each host has spent the last month or more planning an incredible meal and experience that will bring us together to celebrate the Old Trail community and each other.

Our gracious hosts are listed below, along with details about each unique dinner. As space is limited at each host site, please list your top three host choices when submitting your Trail to Table registration form. Please reach out to Jodi Gabor with any questions. Bon appétit!

Tim and Ashley Adkins (Portage Lakes)

An Evening of Fine Food, Fine Wine, and a Sunset Cruise

An Evening in Provence

Beverages: Signature and classic cocktails, wine, beer, sparkling water, and soft drinks.
Additional Details: Enjoy an evening of French food and fine French wine (primarily from the Bordeaux and Saint-Émilion regions). Dinner will commence with the classic French aperitif Kir Royale, followed by a soup course of Cream of Asparagus soup and then a second course of shrimp provencal over crostini. Palettes will be freshened with a course of lemon sorbet, followed by a main course featuring perfectly roasted beef tenderloin. Assorted French cheeses will complement the last sips of wine before the arrival a delicious dessert. The evening will end with a lovely selection of after-dinner drinks, including classic French digestifs of Courvoisier, Chambord, and Armagnac. Bon Appétit!

Shuck like a Rockstar Oyster and Champagne Social

Menu: Oysters (raw, grilled, baked) with various accompaniments. Heavy hors d'oeuvres, roasted beef tenderloin, salmon, green salad, vegetables, selection of desserts.
Beverages: An array of champagne and wine pairings as well as cocktails and other beverages to suit all tastes.
Additional details: This unique gathering will feature a special guest in person, Rifko Meier, the Oyster Chef and founder of Oysters XO. Mr. Meier will curate a selection of fresh oysters with champagne and wine pairings, and all guests will have the opportunity to learn to shuck oysters with ease - no glove needed. Try oysters raw, grilled, or baked with traditional favorite and new flavors. The hosts will also offer an assortment of heavy hors d'oeuvres, roast beef tenderloin, fish, and other complimentary dishes.

Menu: New Orleans and Louisiana have some of the best food in the world. This dinner will feature some of the best the city has to offer. And, of course, bananas foster served tableside for dessert.

Additional details: Weather permitting, we'll start the evening outside with cocktails and appetizers before moving inside for wonderful food and conversation.

Brought to you from Kingfish Seafood, we know you will enjoy this unique culinary experience.
