Jessica really struggled with her decision to leave Old Trail School.
Stationed at the front desk, her smiling face and attention to detail had made her an endearing member of the school community. But a strong desire to put her degree (BA in Education and K-12 Spanish from the University of Akron) to more practical use, coupled with a wish to challenge herself in a different way forced her hand. So last spring, she announced that she would be leaving the school in search of new opportunities.
But little did she know then, that the next opportunity would lead her right back to OTS. Jessica, who is in her ninth year at Old Trail, started her new position as Auxiliary Programs Coordinator this summer.
"I am so happy that I was offered the position of Auxiliary Programs Coordinator so that I could deepen my connection to Old Trail School," Jessica said. "In this role, I am able to work one-on-one with students participating in OTS+ during the school year, Staycation on days off, and Summer Camp all summer long. It allows me to be creative and to truly get to know our families on a much more personal level."
When she is not at school, Jessica, who is a native of Kansas, enjoys riding horses (she owns a dressage horse named Diego) and photography.
We are thrilled that she decided to "rejoin" our team at OTS!
