Class of 2020 Spotlight: Carmen R.

To recognize the Old Trail Class of 2020, we will be showcasing Grade 8 students on our website and social media over the next several weeks. Today's spotlight is Carmen R.
Carmen has been at OTS for 10 years and will be attending Western Reserve Academy in the fall. She has many interests – including baking, drawing, reading and writing – and will take at least one memory from each grade with her when she graduates.

We asked her to reflect back on her time at Old Trail. Here are her responses:

What are some fun facts about you that people may not know?
A couple of fun facts about me are that I love to bake, I like to draw and brush letter, and that I love to read and write.

What is your favorite Old Trail memory?
I have so many memories from Old Trail that it's hard to pick one! I have at least one from each grade. One more recent memory from this year and last was the Science Olympiad. Some other special memories include band concerts, Annie Jr., and Middle School trips.

What will you miss most about Old Trail School?
I don't think there is anything super specific that I will miss about Old Trail. I will miss everything the most.

What advice would you give younger students at Old Trail?
My one piece of advice for the younger students is to cherish their time at Old Trail. Before you know it, you're in eighth grade and counting down the days until you graduate. It might seem like a long time until you're in eighth grade, but time flies by.

Old Trail School is an independent day school (toddler through grade eight) located in the heart of Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
