Class of 2020 Spotlight: Anderson G.

To recognize the Old Trail Class of 2020, we are showcasing Grade 8 students on our website and social media as we approach graduation. Today's spotlight is Anderson G.
Anderson has been at OTS for nine years and will be attending University School in the fall. He is a gifted athlete and was a member of multiple championship sports teams during his time at Old Trail. He also lists class trips to Tremont and Chicago as some of his favorite OTS memories.

We recently asked him to reflect back on his time at Old Trail. Here are his responses:

What do you consider to be your greatest achievement at Old Trail? Why?
My greatest sports achievement at Old Trail would be breaking many soccer scoring records and winning two championships because it illustrates my dedication and effort towards the sport. My greatest scholastic achievement would be winning the future city competition because it allowed me to work with different people and still be successful.

What is your favorite Old Trail memory?
There are too many to just pick one – the International Fair, recess football and basketball, winning championships with the basketball and soccer teams, trips to Tremont and Chicago, and hanging with my boys at study halls are some.

What will you miss most about Old Trail School?
I’ll miss the friends that I had made during my nine years at Old Trail.

What advice would you give younger students at Old Trail?
I would definitely advise younger students to meet with their teachers as often as they can.

Old Trail School is an independent day school (toddler through grade eight) located in the heart of Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
