Grade 7 Student Featured In Medina Gazette

The Medina Gazette recently chronicled how a chance encounter over the summer led to an unlikely friendship between Grade 7 student Julian '22 and a 100-year-old U.S. war veteran.
To honor the gentleman's years of service and life after the military, Julian created a replica of the gun the veteran operated during the war from clay, which took 200 hours to craft. The model gun was then sent as a surprise gift to the veteran, along with an endearing letter typed from an old typewriter (to be consistent with the wartime era theme). We continue to be so impressed by this young man's kindness, attention to detail and remarkable talents!
