Welcome, Old Trail School Parents!

We value the active participation of parents and guardians in the life of our school. By getting involved, OTS parents not only serve as excellent role models for their children, strengthen the vital partnership between home and school and enrich our vibrant and welcoming school community. Extended Care

OTS+ is Old Trail School's extended care program, providing working families supervised, before-school (7:30-8:00 a.m.) and after-school (3:30-6:00 p.m.) care and enrichment opportunities to any student enrolled at OTS. Drop-in and discounted preregistration rates are available. Learn more

The Old Trail School Parents Association believes parent involvement is essential to advancing Old Trail School's mission and enriching the lives of its students. It is the OTSPA's goal to build a strong school community, with an emphasis on enhancing the dynamic educational experiences of all students, in close partnership with Old Trail School. The OTSPA supports schoolwide programs, provides additional activities, and supports volunteer & fundraising opportunities to enhance the educational and social experience for the Old Trail community.

Volunteer

There are many ways to get involved and a variety of volunteer opportunities to accommodate most schedules through the Old Trail School Parents Association. The OTSPA welcomes your ideas, skills, talent and most importantly, your time. Your participation gives you the opportunity to meet other parents/educators, have a voice in school programs and events, and make a lasting impact on our school.

Add School Calendars to Your Phone or Google Calendar

If you'd like to add our school calendar to your phone or computer, first navigate to our School Calendar page. Then use the following steps:

Click on the gray radiating waves (RSS) symbol at the top right of the calendar grid.
Scroll to School Calendar and tap or hover over the green "ICAL" icon
Select "Add to Default Calendar App" (the third option). If you have an Android phone and use Google Calendar select "Get Google iCal URL"

Sign Up for Text Alerts from the School

Throughout the year, we'll send important alerts – like school closing announcements, special deadline reminders, etc. – straight to your phone.

If you would like to receive these alerts:

Make sure the cell phone number listed in your profile in MyTrail is up to date
Text YES to the short code number 79041

Returning families who are already receiving text alerts from the school do not need to complete the second step.

Prevent School Emails From Going to Your Spam/Junk Inbox

To prevent emails from Old Trail School from being routed to your spam folder, you can whitelist our sender address (noreply@oldtrailorg.myenotice.com) by adding it to your safe senders list. Here is a helpful article about whitelisting; scroll down to the bottom of the article for a link to instructions specific to your email (or click here for instructions for Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo).

Update Your Contact Information in the Family Directory

Our emergency communications system, school email lists, and family directory all pull the latest contact information from individuals' profiles on MyTrail. If you need to make changes to your email, phone number, and/or address, log in to MyTrail and open the dropdown menu located under your name in the upper right-hand corner, then click on "Profile". If you run into any trouble updating your information, please contact Nancy Stockwell at nstockwell@oldtrail.org.
